For those who live to ride and appreciate the extraordinary.
Velo Escapes runs five-star road-cycling vacations for small groups of passionate riders. Roads worth the trip, remarkable places to stay, and a warm welcome for partners who don't ride.
The best roads in the region
Roads worth the trip, like Gates Pass and the Saguaro National Park loop on the Tucson escape. Every route is scouted before you get there.
A remarkable place to stay
Every escape puts you somewhere remarkable, such as a resort holding three Michelin Keys. Your own room, never a stranger to share with, and the meals taken care of, like breakfast on the terrace before the ride.
Looked after, on the bike and off it
Ride guides with you on every ride, and a support vehicle leapfrogging between the groups all day. Off the bike, the small things are done for you, like your kit washed overnight and back in your room by morning.
Serious rides that aren't relentlessly long.
Most days are about 30 to 50 miles, on the best roads in the region. Every escape has one big day. On the Tucson escape, it's the Mount Lemmon climb: about 28 miles and 6,300 feet.
There's no group pace. You ride as hard as you want, on a road bike or, where the escape offers one, an e-bike.
- You ride ahead whenever you want to go.
- You cut the route short on any day.
- You hitch a ride in the support vehicle whenever you want.
Then the afternoon is yours, and a partner who doesn't ride has a vacation of their own. Every rider goes home with an experience they'll never forget.
